The vice chancellor, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, has said that students of the institution and Nigerians can tap from the network of international partners arrayed for the UNILAG International Week to enjoy access to global opportunities.
Ogundipe, who made the observation while explaining the importance of the Week, said the event would help to boost partnership and knowledge-sharing between the Nigerian academia and the rest of the world.
He said, “The International Week will also provide a platform for Nigerians to harness global opportunities with the array of international partners attending the event.
“Some of the partners are Education USA, DAAD, CampusFrance and many top universities from the UK, Europe and South Africa.”
Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu; Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro; and Minister of Communication, Dr. Ida Ali, are among special guests scheduled to speak at the event.
The Week, which is to hold at the J.F. Ade Ajayi of the institution between Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15th, 2019, seeks to address the requirements of effectively educating students in the 21st century
