President Buhari Visit Lagos State After Two Years

President Muhammadu Buhari accompanied by some of ministers, governors, and other notable members in the country visited Lagos state to commission the Lagos-Ibadan Standard Gauge Rail Project today, 10th of June, 2021.


Upon arriving in Lagos in the morning, he visited Arise Television to grant an interview, then he proceeded to Ebute Metta Station, known as Mobolaji Johnson Station, which is the largest railway station in West Africa with a holding capacity of 6000 passengers. The project was constructed under the supervision of the Ministry of Transportation headed by Rotimi Amaechi.

President Buhari in company of the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, also visited Apapa, Lagos, for the launch of the $195 million Deep Blue Project. The Deep Blue Sea project is an initiative of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, which is meant to secure the Nigerian end of the Gulf of Guinea, from the menace of pirates.

He also commissioned Patrol Vehicles and Security Equipments donated to the Nigeria Police by Lagos State Government.
A development that will boost the mobility of the security agencies and increase the security services to Lagosians.
